Generally, Reptiles Are Healthy

Most domestically bred and raised reptiles are healthy.  Health problems are typically caused by improper environmental conditions such as insufficient heat, too much moisture, a soiled substrate, etc.  The health of your reptile is not to be taken for granted. Just like you, your reptile should have an annual 'Check Up'. The annual check up we recommend is conducted by a veterinarian.  Common procedures for all reptiles are blood work, external physical examination, and fecal examination. Most ailments that your reptile could be suffering from will be detected by these simple tests.

What Does Reptilia Have to Offer?

Reptilia does not provide any veterinary services; however, our senior staff all have well over 15 years experience raising and maintaining reptiles and amphibians. There are few problems that you may encounter that we haven't already had to deal with.  Drop by and discuss your reptile husbandry problems with our staff.  We can help you determine the cause of lack of appetite, behavioural problems, and abnormal skin conditions such as incomplete shedding.  Do not drop by with your animal.  If you need to have the animal looked at you will need to set up an appointment with your veterinarian.
