Popular after-hours Halloween event returns October 23–24 at Reptilia Vaughan, Whitby and London
Ontario — October 2026 — Reptilia’s popular Halloween event, Crocs After Dark, is returning this October for two nights of after-hours animal encounters, educational programming and Halloween fun.
Taking place October 23 and 24 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Crocs After Dark will transform all three Reptilia locations — Vaughan, Whitby and London — into a unique nighttime zoo experience.
Guests will have the opportunity to explore Reptilia after regular operating hours, experience the facility under special nighttime lighting and discover how reptiles behave when the lights go down.
“Crocs After Dark gives families a completely different way to experience Reptilia,” said Ryan Vince, General Manager of Reptilia Inc. “There is something special about being inside the zoo at night. Our team gets an opportunity to showcase incredible animal behaviours, interact more closely with our guests and create a Halloween experience that is fun, educational and unlike anything else in the area.”
Throughout the evening, guests can experience crocodilian feeding and enrichment, live educational theatre presentations, up-close animal ambassador encounters, opportunities to speak with Reptilia educators, Halloween-themed displays and free candy for children.
Costumes are encouraged.
The event combines Halloween entertainment with Reptilia’s focus on wildlife education, giving guests an opportunity to learn about reptiles and their adaptations while seeing many of the animals during a time of day they would not normally experience.
Reptilia operates three accredited reptile zoos in Ontario and cares for more than 1,000 animals representing over 250 species, with the majority of its collection consisting of rescued and surrendered animals. Its facilities combine public education, animal care, conservation and research programming while introducing visitors to reptiles from around the world.
Crocs After Dark takes place at Reptilia Vaughan, Whitby and London on October 23 and 24, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
