Reptilia Launches Weekend Zoo Camp for Ontario Kids

ONTARIO — August 2026 — Summer camp may be winding down, but the adventure isn’t.

Reptilia Zoo is launching a new Weekend Camp, giving young animal lovers the opportunity to spend a full day exploring reptiles, learning about animal care and getting behind-the-scenes experiences throughout the school year.

The new program will run every third weekend of the month on both Saturday and Sunday at Reptilia locations.

Weekend Camp builds on Reptilia’s established camp programming, combining education with the kind of hands-on experiences that are difficult to find in a traditional classroom.

Campers can spend their day learning from Reptilia’s animal care and education teams, meeting reptiles from around the world, participating in activities and discovering what goes into caring for the hundreds of animals that call Reptilia home.

“Kids have an incredible curiosity about animals, and we wanted to give them another opportunity to explore that outside of summer and school breaks,” said Ryan Vince, General Manager of Reptilia. “Weekend Camp lets them spend a day at the zoo learning, asking questions and getting much closer to the world of reptiles and animal care.”

Reptilia’s camp programs are Ontario Camps Association accredited, reflecting established standards for camp programming, safety and participant experiences.

The program is designed to give parents another weekend activity that goes beyond traditional entertainment while giving children an opportunity to explore interests in animals, science, conservation and zoological careers.

Weekend Camp will be offered at Reptilia’s Ontario locations in Vaughan, Whitby and London.
