We provide a safe, fun, and creative learning environment where campers learn about nature through interacting with our reptiles. Reptiles are the ‘vehicle’ we use to teach students throughout Ontario in the ‘Life Strands’ section of the Ontario Education Ministry’s Science and Technology Curriculum.
For most campers, one of the most exciting parts of our Adventure Camp is the hands-on experience with small harmless reptiles.
We are very aware of the fear that some campers may have one or more types of reptiles, and we never attempt to have any camper do anything that makes them feel uncomfortable. Each camper decides on their level of participation and whether or not to handle any reptile they may feel a bit uncomfortable with. Funny thing is though, by the end of the week, the most fearful campers are often first in line to help with cleaning, care, and feeding of the reptile they feared the most just a few days ago.
Each group will take part in age-appropriate camp activities including:
- Behind the scenes zoo experience
- Gaining an understanding of reptiles through hands-on learning
- Preparing food and assisting in feeding some of the small lizards, turtles, and tortoises
- Have the chance to set up a habitat and take care of a reptile during the camp days
- Arts and crafts
- Reptile-related games
You have the option of choosing to either pack a lunch for your camper or purchase our lunch meal plan (Catered by Boston Pizza). Our lunch meal plans cost $9.99 (regular size) and $11.99 (large size) per lunch. You will be able to choose the meals that your child wants to have, and it can be ordered at the time of registration by completing the camper’s menu for each day.

- The weekly camp rate – $330.00
- Extended Care – $20/HOUR

“My son, Kienen, said that Reptilia has been the best camp he has ever been to. So much, in fact, we are canceling a camp he has booked in August so he can return to Reptilia again (Week 7 August 15-19). Thank you to those who contributed to creating a fun and educational experience for these kids – not only are they having a blast, they are learning and taking part in something that is of interest to them.
We will even be adopting a leopard gecko by summer’s end! Please pass on our compliments and appreciation to all staff involved. We’ll see you again in August!! Many thanks.”

Summer Camp at Reptilia
Welcome to Reptilia’s Summer Camp! We’re excited to present an unforgettable summer filled with discovery, fun, and hands-on learning. This year, our summer camp is organized around exciting weekly themes, each focusing on a different group of fascinating creatures. Every week will showcase a new theme to captivate young explorers: Snakes, Lizards, Crocodilians, Native Species, and Turtles. Each week, campers will interact with these incredible animals, learning about their unique traits, habitats, and conservation needs.
At Reptilia Summer Camp, we’re committed to providing an experience that promotes inclusion, environmental awareness, and a deep respect for the natural world. Each camper will join our Eco-Ambassador Team, where they’ll not only discover new friendships but also take on a meaningful role in understanding and protecting some of the most remarkable animals on Earth. Our program is designed for children aged 5-12 and caters to a variety of learning styles to nurture curiosity and teamwork.
Every day at camp is filled with interactive activities tailored to each week’s theme, including hands-on encounters with our resident reptiles, behind-the-scenes tours, eco-challenges, and interactive workshops. Our activities are carefully planned to foster curiosity, engage young minds, and inspire a lifelong interest in wildlife. Highlights include animal feeding demonstrations, habitat building, scavenger hunts, and crafts—all designed to complement the weekly theme and keep campers engaged in fun, educational ways.
Our passionate and knowledgeable camp counselors are certified reptile handlers with extensive experience working with children. They’re experts at creating a safe, positive, and fun environment that encourages campers to explore, ask questions, and feel comfortable in close encounters with our animal ambassadors. Every counselor goes through specialized training to ensure that they can handle both reptiles and campers with the utmost care, making sure each child feels safe and supported.
An example of our weekly books used for programming can be viewed below. These resources provide a glimpse into the thoughtfully crafted educational content we provide each week, featuring age-appropriate, visually engaging materials to enhance your child’s learning and enjoyment of the theme.
